Ethics, cancellations & refunds

Appointments are offered with the utmost integrity and respect, and are never given to harm, hurt or disappoint. Please read this page before booking.

Who we are

Services & prices

  • Private mediumship sitting (Zoom, FaceTime, or face to face where available), 30 minutes: £25
  • Private mediumship sitting, 1 hour: £40
  • Intuitive card reading (Zoom or FaceTime), 30 minutes: £25
  • Intuitive card reading, 1 hour: £40
  • Online development circle: £8 per weekly session (drop-in)

Once your date and time are agreed, you’ll be emailed a SumUp payment link for the booked service. Payment is required before your booking is confirmed. Prices include any applicable taxes. TODO: confirm VAT status

What happens after you book

You will receive an email containing a consent form covering the agreed service and the subjects that will not be discussed. Once the consent form is returned and payment received, your booking is confirmed and your Zoom link is sent.

Cancelling or changing a sitting

  • Give at least 7 days’ notice to cancel for a full refund, or to change your date and time.
  • Cancellations or changes made less than 7 days before are considered case by case.
  • If Ashley or a representative of The Bear Witch House needs to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

Refunds

Because these are spiritual services that involve a degree of belief, spiritual understanding and personal interpretation, refunds are not offered once a sitting or reading has taken place. Please make sure you fully understand what is offered before booking or paying.

Exception: if, within the first 10 minutes of a sitting, Ashley feels there is not a strong enough connection, the session will be stopped, an apology given, and you will be offered a rebooking or refund.

Circle sessions

Circle drop-ins are paid per session. If a session is cancelled by us, you will be refunded or can carry your payment to the next week. TODO: Ashley to confirm circle refund rule

Your cancellation rights

For online bookings you normally have 14 days to cancel. By booking a sitting within 14 days you ask for the service to start in that period. If you cancel before it takes place, the 7-day notice above applies. TODO: check wording against the Consumer Contracts Regulations

Safeguarding & ethics

Your comfort and safety matter. You may ask for a sitting to be stopped at any time. If Ashley feels a sitter is uncomfortable, or is behaving disrespectfully or inappropriately, the session will be ended.

The following subjects will not be discussed:

  • Financial advice or predictions
  • Pregnancy predictions
  • Medical diagnoses (this is the role of a qualified doctor; spiritual healing may be discussed in a general sense)
  • Legal matters
  • Predictions of death or hurtful events

Sittings and circles are not given to anyone under 18, or to anyone under the influence of alcohol or substances.

These services are offered for spiritual connection, insight and guidance only. They are not a substitute for counselling, therapy or professional medical, legal or financial advice. Spirit sittings are given within the spiritual belief of mediumship and the afterlife. While the aim is to provide evidence of connection, no guarantees or absolute claims can be made. You are always responsible for your own life choices.
