This notice explains what personal information The Bear Witch House collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect

  • Bookings: your first name, email address, the time you book and payment confirmation (payments are processed by SumUp; we never see your full card details).
  • Consent form: your answers about subjects you don’t want discussed.
  • Email list: your email address, if you sign up for the free gift or spell kit waitlist.
  • Messages: anything you send by email or phone.

We do not research sitters before a sitting, and we do not ask for social media profiles.

Why we use it

  • To arrange and deliver your sitting or circle (contract)
  • To send the emails you signed up for (consent, which you can withdraw at any time)
  • To keep records we must keep, such as payments (legal obligation)

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run things: SumUp (bookings and payments), Zoom (sessions), TODO: email tool, e.g. Kit, and our website host TODO: host. Videos on this site are loaded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain only when you press play.

How long we keep it

Booking records: up to 6 years for accounting. Email list: until you unsubscribe. Consent forms: TODO.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use. Email us to do so. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
